Seven Spring Haiku

Exercise on Melt

wax beneath me, melt
set aside your desire
help me to burn, bright

hands across my curves
patting, packing, forming me
I melt in the end

knees weak, palms perspire
two bodies melt into one

one is more than two

Exercise on Spring

subside falling snow
relinquish your hold on soil
welcome the crocus

sun thaw icy earth
push deep your warming fingers
the crocus await

Exercise on Youth

sled hill made of snow
top to bottom joyful squeals
again, AGAIN, please

so eager to please
eyes begin to see new life
the new weight of age
