Eight Rooms
Room #1: Eggshell white, except for the sapphires. The guests with their clever teacups.
Room #2: Pink saccharine lemonade. Just some old water beds.
Room #3: Forest green. A lucent girl and her army of robots.
Room #4: Novocain blue. The toilet and shower in separate rooms.
Room #5: Camel smoke. Plastic chairs and Wichita Falls’ oldest living AA member.
Room #6: No walls. Some numbers.
Room #7: Pale green with lavender undertones. A man holding 5 cups of rain.
Room #8: Yellow wallpaper. A writer who is starting to love her husband just
a little bit less.
